Hello!

My name is Grace and I'm graduated  from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (summa cum laude!) in 2023. I majored in English, minored in History, and was a part of the Writing for the Screen and Stage program as well. In May 2023, I was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Rhetorical Studies by the Department of Communication.

Currently, I work as a Marketing Assistant and freelance for The INDY in the evenings -- girlboss by day, tortured artist after business hours -- and host a weekly writer's workshop since I founded it in June 2023!

I spent over a year at Carrboro-based non-profit Hope Renovations as their Social Media and Marketing Intern. I also spent time as an Assistant Teacher at the Montessori Academy of Carrboro, and as a Research Assistant under the advisement of Dr. Pamela Cooper in the Department of English and Comparative Literature.

I bounced around extra-curricularly. From 2020 through 2023, I was a DJ at UNC's college radio station, WXYC, doling out tracks as Lady Disdain all the way through the pandemic. In February 2022, I was one of the Process Series's selected playwrights, and my one-act, Smirit Se, was live-read and workshopped in their Evening of New Work. I served as writer for the now-defunct Limeaid (long live) from 2019-2022 as well as Head of Writing and was Co-Editor-in-Chief from 2021-2022. Back in September 2020, I won the inaugural Zachary Doss Friends in Letters Memorial Fellowship for my poetry along with the illustrations of Hayden Park. I was also nominated for a Best of the Net award in Fall 2019 for my prose poem, The Dithyramb.

Fun stuff! And more is to come, as always.
